Our ROV’s have already been used to survey hundreds of km of cable visually.
During mobilisation we use EIVA to register pipe & cable routes (KP), alongside other useful information such as bathymetry for operational planning.
Based on the client requirements or job pack the work scope for the ROV Supervisor is built up in advance on the DVR, to ensure we record events at all prescribed locations.
We are currently trialling the use of mini MBES & EIVA Nardoa software for the automatic identification of cables & pipeline relative to the seabed. This is a great analytical tool for automatically identifying pipeline freespan & burial events.
