Green Marine has now moved the East gate from Kishorn Dry Dock in advance of the salvaged the MV Kaami’s arrival. This marks the first time these 13,000te gates have been moved in over 25 years.
All Operational Planning was performed by Green Marine in conjunction with Kishorn Port. A series of temporary mooring spreads for the workboats were installed, alongside onshore winches for the initial movement of the gate out of the dry dock. Once removed, the workboats towed the gate over to a mooring spread installed by Green Marine previously in 2019 for temporary hook-up.
