Aquaculture
The Green Isle has been utilised by Scottish fish farm and aquaculture companies to tow feed barges to and from vessel drydocks or between sites.
This process starts by the generation of a tow and passage plan by the Green Marine engineering team. This plan is submitted to the marine surveyor and towage insurance & load line exemptions are put in place.
The Green Isle is then used to tow the feed barge to the required position using certified towing winch and equipment. Upon delivery to a site the Green Isle can be used to connect the barge to the site moorings. If required, the Green Isle is also able to install the mooring prior to the barges arrival.
