Umbra
Green Marine were part of the Umbra Group’s Emerge project consortium. Green Marine provided the GM700 gantry barge as a platform for trialling Umbra’s WEC focusing on the Power Take-Off development. Green Marine designed the grillage for the WEC on the deck of the GM700. Once fabrication and installation of the WEC to the GM700 was complete, the Green Isle was used to install a 40te mooring.
The Green Isle then connected the GM700 to the mooring for the duration of the test period. Green Marine provided vessels for transferring technicians to the barge during the deployment. Following a successful test period, Green Marine recovered the barge and moorings.
