CorPower Ocean named Green Marine as the lead marine contractor during the scale testing of their Wave Energy Converter. The Green Marine engineering team developed the installation and recovery method alongside the team from CorPower Ocean. The Green Isle was then used to lift, tow and install the device on EMEC’s scale wave test site.
Following successful buoy installation the Green Isle carried out a cable lay to connect the WEC to the test support buoy which processed the electricity generated by the device. The Green Marine carried out multiple installations and recoveries of the WEC during the testing period.
